Subject: 3 people from el nido to Coron
Hello,

We are three people, hoping to travel from El Nido to Coron, during July 24-26 2016. What are our options for travel?

Also, i would like general price with itinerary + diving and + snorkelling. Two of us are certified divers.

Could you give me a sample itinerary for this trip?

We have three people, but we could also have extra guests in our boat if that would lower the cost.

Best regards,

Shane McManus!

Subject: Question about boat tours
I am helping some friends plan a trip to the El Nido area. They do not have much internet access so I am helping them out! There are two of them. They will be flying into Puerto Princesa on 2/21 and traveling to El Nido on that day as well. Ideally, they would like arrive in Linapacan on 2/22 and would like to take a boat tour from there for a few days returning to Linapacan on 2/24 or 2/25. They would need to be back in El Nido on 2/26 in the morning. I am having trouble finding reliable transportation from El Nido to Linapacan. I have seen there are public ferries but I cannot confirm this online and I also understand this time of year has inconsistent/risky weather. Would you be able to offer some assistance in planning this? Thank you!

Hi there,

I stumbled on your website while researching the area. Your new kiteboarding location sounds excellent. I’m landing in Manilla on the 5th of March for 2 weeks with my girlfriend.

Few questions that weren’t immediately apparent from your website…

1- How do we find you/get to you?
2 – What should we bring for camping purposes? We’re a couple of backpackers in our thirties. I’m afraid my gf is a little more ‘delicate’ than me so I’m hoping to make the camping experience as straight forward as possible so we can stay more than a few days.
3 – It sounds like you have quite a bit of knowledge about tours and such. Can we book a few things with you when we arrive or do you prefer to have things pre-arranged?
4 – Can you confirm costs for accommodation/ kite boarding gear for me and kite/lessons for my gf?

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Patrick Reardon

I’m the editor of Fabulous Travel Guide and we’d love to review your tours!

We are always looking for the best things to do on each island and we think your overnight island-hopping tours would appeal to our target audience.

Can you send through prices for 4 people? And do you offer press discounts?

In return we will happily review your tours on our website which includes photos and links back to Island Hopping In The Philippines.

Many businesses featured on the site get lots of publicity and benefit from exposure on our social media channels.

Looking forward to hearing back to you,

Subject: Filming on a Deserted Island
Hello there,

I work for a UK television company and we are working on an extreme travel style documentary. I am looking for some advice on finding uninhabited islands on which to film around Palawan.

The idea is to find an island which we can maroon our presenter on for a few days to have a desert island style experience. The idea being that our presenter learns how to survive on his own – sleep under the stars, catch his own supper and survive.

Ideally the island would have a fresh water source, fruit trees, ability to fish and far enough out that we get a sense of remoteness.

It’s important also to get accurate seasonal climate info the choices that we look into – and microclimate info for specific islands, because there is so much local variation. Different islands can have different climates, despite proximity.

We are basically looking for the perfect Robinson Crusoe island (not sure if you’re familiar with the novel) but that’s the brief!

I have been looking at some of the islands to the north of Palawan and came across BOLINA ISLAND, LINAPACAN. Do you know if this island may be suitable for our requirements?

It would be great to have a quick chat with you to find out some more. Do you have a contact number I can call you on or Skype perhaps?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards,

Drew

Subject: Island hopping El Nido to Coron, March
Hi,

My wife and I are planning a trip from El Nido to Coron as part of our Honeymoon. We would depart from El Nido on March 16 and wish to reach Coron by March 19 or 20. Based on what we have read on your website, we would like to stay at Shirley’s Pension House in Linapacan for a few nights and take some day trips from there to the nearby islands.

Can we book all this through you? Do you have any other recommendations? What would be a rough price estimate for the whole package? How should we proceed?

Hi!
Me husband and I are interested in doing one of your boat tours but we weren’t sure if the weather was going to be cooperative. On your FAQ page you mention that the waves can get big in February. We’re going to be in the area approximately 1/15-1/26. Also, I tried to click on your Pay Pal link to pay the $25 to get more info but it didn’t link to your account and I didn’t know your email address.
I’m going to give you my husband’s contact info because I’m going to be busy working the next two days. Thank you!

We were thinking that we could go by public ferry from El Nido to Linapacan on Feb 29, spend one night there and then organize a 2 day/1 night trip from there to Coron from mar 1-2 with your help. What size of boat would you recommend for this time of year? Wind and waves can get pretty intense, right?

Pickup/Dropoff will be at Casa Felicidad Beach Resort, Dipnay, San Fernando, El Nido probably on Aug18.

Can you give me your best price for the Island hopping. Does your tour include lunch, or is it better to take lunch at Linapacan town or bring our own?

Hello! Good morning!

Me and my wife are in a trip around SE Asia, and got really interested about staying couple of nights in your place in Linapacan.

We are kitesurfers, and have our gear with us. Our plan is get to Coron by March, 13, ary there for about 1 week, head to Linapacan and spend another week there, and then go to El Nido.

Would it be possible to stay 1 week in your Eco Kitesurfing Resort by this period (let’s say, from March 20-27)?

Our main interest is to kite as much as possible. I understand that we still can get good winds within this period, and you could provide us with a boat and a guide to take us to the best spots for kitesurfing, is this correct? I also understand that a beach just near you also have pretty good kitesurfing conditions, right?

What are the conditions in the resort now? Do you have huts already or tents are the option available?

What is the cheapest way to get to your Eco Resort from Coron?

Sorry for that may questions.

Thank you very much and best regards!

Tito

Therefore we would be interested by a trip from El Nido to Coron between March 6 and 11th or from Coron to El Nido from March 15 to 19th. Do you have anything within these dates?

Hi,

I’m planning to be in the Philippines from February 15th – March 3rd and wanted to spend some time kiteboarding. I was wondering if there is plenty of equipment over there to rent, or if I should bring my own. Bringing my own gear would be expensive with transport, and a hassle to backpack with. However, it wouldn’t be fun to have trouble finding gear to rent. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help!

Hello there,
you mention public ferry from Coron to Linapacan/El Nido. Could you give me a bit more details on that. We are thinking of taking a break from Coron to visit some other places around – either Linapacan or El Nido but have no idea if there are any ferries/safe boats that would take us there. Also don’t know about the cost. Could you please provide some details on that?

Can I do an island hopping tour from Manila to Puerto Princesa and stay in hotels with air conditioning?

Hi! Me and my husband are looking for island hopping for 5 or 6 days from Manila to Puerto Princesa, starting around the 9th of november. We would like to have (if possible) rooms with a/c. What would you recommend for us? Thanks!

The only a/c available in these rural areas are in more expensive hotels and on the main tourists paths, like El Nido or Coron, not on the islands in between, which usually have fairly limited electricity anyway.

Our boats only go between Coron and El Nido, so you’d have to take something like 2Go ferries to Coron, which is a good ride I find.

Thanks for the complete info! So, you dont have a travel package directly from Manila up to Princesa?

That would be pretty impractical. If taking the big public ferry from Manila to Coron, it is an overnight trip. The ferry is very large and fast, where you have a bed and live entertainment in the evening, so taking a smaller boat would not be so comfortable, especially if the ocean is rough with waves. The public bus from El Nido is fairly fast and comfortable and there are some nice towns and attractions you can stop at along the way, so overall, you are simply better off doing it this way.

With my husband and a friend have decided to plan a trip between Coron and El Nido from the 10th of Nov to the 14th (we have to be in Puerto Princesa by nov 15th). What would you recomend us? We would love to stay two nights in Nido.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Coni, what is your budget? No groups formed that I know of at the moment, although some could join yours at the last minute to reduce costs. Worst case I think you could hire your own, smaller boat for around 15,000p, or an even smaller boat (waves permitting) for around 8,000, for the four days. I assume you do not intend to stay in El Nido for two days during this four day period? I think that would be a shame. Included in the package I can give you some recommendations for the rest of your trip.

Hi, yes that is kind of out of the budget! We are thinking that is wizer to get to El Nido and stay there for 6 nights and do daily tours in the islands. Do you have something like that?

If you like boat tours of islands I would suggest you come to Linapacan. Stay in El Nido for one night if you want to get drunk with foreigners. Beach is somewhat crowded, as are the tours, which are also limited in choice. Linapacan is half way to Coron and the public ferry stops here. Hundreds of undeveloped islands and clearest waters in the world, so excellent for snorkeling.

Thanks! How much time does it take to get to your island? And how much is for a double bedroom?

From El Nido the public ferry should cost 600p, but the seas are rougher from November to April and the ferries can get delayed because of it. In which case it is best to give yourself a buffer to get back in time for your flight, otherwise you may have to pay more to resort to a private operator. It’s a four hour trip from El Nido to Linapacan and the ferries go about three times a week, either direction (they go from El Nido to Coron in one day, stopping at Linapacan half way, then go back the next day).

The rooms at the halfway point between El Nido and Coron (Linapacan) are 200p per person. Local tours can cost as little as 1000p for a boat of up to five passengers, 4 island snorkeling tour in a single day.
